Role and tasks

   About the role

   You build websites and cloud applications with us, from concept into production. You work on the PHP legacy with TYPO3 and Drupal, and at the same time on new projects with TypeScript, Next.js and LLM integration via Anthropic Claude and OpenAI GPT. You take ownership for code, architecture and quality. Not only for tickets. What this role is not: greenfield only. At least 40 % of your time will be spent in existing PHP codebases: maintenance, migration, evolution.

   Your responsibilities

   —

   Conceptualise and plan websites, web applications and cloud solutions.

   —

   Build digital solutions in close coordination with the team.

   —

   Take over monitoring, optimisation and maintenance of existing projects.

   —

   Integrate AI components (LLMs, RAG, embeddings) into existing systems.

   —

   Use modern technologies following best practice and shape our internal standards.

   —

   Support consulting and concept with technical depth. Especially in the pre-sales phase.

Profile and benefits

   What you bring

   Required

   —

   At least three years of experience in professional web development.

   —

   Strong PHP skills (PHP 8+).

   —

   Experience with one of our main CMS: TYPO3 or Drupal. Ideally both.

   —

   Hands-on experience with PHP frameworks, ideally Laravel or Symfony.

   —

   Basic Unix shell skills, confident with Git.

   —

   Solid understanding of databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), HTTP, REST/JSON.

   —

   German or English fluent.

   Nice to have

   —

   Experience with TypeScript, Next.js, React.

   —

   Experience with LLM integration (Claude API, OpenAI API), RAG architectures, vector databases.

   —

   Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD (ideally GitLab CI), Linux administration.

   —

   Exposure to Elasticsearch, Contentful, WordPress, Angular, Vue.js, GoLang.

   —

   Open-source contributions, own projects, conference talks. Happy to see them in your application.

Onboarding and application

   How we onboard you

   First 30 days: pair programming with a senior developer, fully understanding one existing project, local setup via our Docker stack. After 60 days you deliver first features on your own. After 90 days you run code reviews for more junior colleagues and join a running AI project. Career path: Senior FullStack → Lead Engineer → Tech Lead, or technical specialisation in AI, architecture or DevOps.
